This plain long sleeve button up shirt is made in Japan and produced by Momotaro Jeans from Japan Blue. Momotaro Jeans is a modern denim label established in 2006, based in Kojima, Okayama, Japan, where is the birth place of Japanese domestic jeans. Momotaro Jeans's products are introduced Japanese craftsmanship into american classic clothing making. The pattern construction of this solid indigo shirt is modeled after traditional American workwear (vintage work shirts) with classic design, but this dobby shirt has been re-designed with the Momotaro Jeans's brand own detailing, contemporary interpretation and modernize fit for a more casual look and fashion purpose. The beauty of this piece is the balance of classic construction and modern updates from Momotaro Jeans. Made of a 100% cotton unlined, super heavyweight textured rugged dobby fabric with 3D effect similar to a sashiko woven with deep-blue indigo-dyed cotton thick yarns. And this shirt features a front closure with six urea buttons, regular collar, vintage style asymmetric twin chest pockets, back yoke, side gussets on shirt hem and the chainstitch runoff which hang from the side seam on hem. This product is made for US clothing sizes. And this long-sleeve shirt is originally intended to wear as a regular fit (not too slim or not too loose) with slightly short in the body length for a more fashion-forward looks. It is perfect to wear alone or as a base layer with a jacket(outerwear). This solid long sleeve work shirt is new original creations by Momotaro Jeans by Japan Blue.

Fabric : Made of a 100% cotton unlined, super heavyweight textured rugged dobby fabric with 3D effect similar to a sashiko woven with indigo-dyed cotton thick yarns. This heavy fabric is woven on specialized dobby loom to recreate visually the fabric resembles sashiko. This shirt deliver the perfect combination of durability and natural softness for comfort. This shirt has been washed once for the fashionable vintage feel and look. Pre washed, minimal shrinkage. And the more you wear, the more indigo fabric will fade beautifully. It is perfect to wear alone or as a base layer with a outerwear.

Types of garment closure (Placket type) : 6 buttons on front opening. Full-button closure (Front placket, Front button closure) with vertical button holes. Buttons are 4-holes buttons.

Collar Type : Regular collar with collar stand for crisper appearance.

Cuffs Type : Single button cuffs with sleeve placket (cuff slit). Cuff slit with bartacked reinforcement. Cuff slit let you take the shirt off and put it on easily.

Bottom hem type : Rounded shirttails with side gussets. Curved hem (shirt tail). Side gussets on shirt hem and the triple twisted thread chainstitch runoff which hang from the side seam on hem. A gusset is a piece of fabric which adds durability to a section of a garment. For this shirts, gussets are seen at the point where the side seams meet the hem. The chainstitch runoff (triple twisted threads which hang from the side seam on hem). This detail can be seen on rare vintage workwear shirts as well as modern reproductions.

Pocket : This classically-styled shirt features asymmetric twin chest pockets. The right side patch pocket has a pencil slot. The left side bottoned flap pocket is a sweat proof pocket. This unique pocket design features a front and back sided pouch sewn on the shirt body as opposed to a conventional patch pocket sewn directly on the shirt body. This pocket is constructed to create the pouch for preventing the contents of the pocket from contacting the shirt body directly, hence the lack of stitching on the pocket's bottom. And the upper pocket corners are bar tacked for extra strength.

Yoke type : Straight yoke. A shirt yoke is made from two layers of fabric for durability. Reinforced double-layers shoulder yoke for greater durability at at stress points.

Back of the Shirt : No pleats for easy ironing and clean lines.

Other details : Key areas are triple-stitching and rolled seams for superior strength. Since this item is indigo-dyed, it's prone to crocking, or color transfer, so wear (and wash) it with dark colors till it's worn in.
