The Buzz Rickson label, a division of Toyo Enterprise in Japan, is famous around the world for its expertly-crafted authentic military clothing. This product is made for Japanese market and made for Japanese clothing sizes. The pattern construction of this zip front hoodie is classic-style loop-wheeling hooded sweatshirts (old military training hoodie), but this zip up hoodie is outfitted with Buzz Rickson's brand own detailing and design in a contemporary approach with a modernize fit. With the inspiration from classic clothing (sportswear style with military influences), this full zip hoodie has been re-designed for a more casual look and fashion purpose. This Buzz Rickson's zip-up hoodie features 100% cotton medium weight loop-wheeled sweatshirt fabric with a soft brushed interior backing, tubular loopwheeling construction with no side seams, zipper-front closure (zipper tab on the right side), set-in-sleeve, 2-needle seam sewn body, D-style hnadwarmer pockets, classic style longer ribbed cuff and waistband. Also this loopwheeled hoodie is decorated with a printing inspired by the military forces of the United States of America. The graphic on this hoodie is based on the United States Army Air Forces shoulder sleeve insignia. It is perfect to wear alone or as a base layer with a jacket(outerwear). This loopwheeled hoodie is new original creations by Buzz Rickson.

This product is cut to wear as a Modern Fit (Not too tight or Not loose) with short in the body length to allow for wearing layers underneath flight jacket style. Fabric : 100% cotton 13 Oz. medium weight sweatshirt fabric. It has a slightly slubby and rugged texture on the face of the fabric with a soft brushed interior backing. It combines durability and the natural softness for comfort. This sweatshirt is washed once for a fashionable vintage feel and look. Pre washed, minimal shrinkage.

Body : Tubular construction (No side seam construction). Made on vintage looms which knit the fabric in a seamless continuous tube known as loop-wheeling. The fabric is produced with minimal tension during knitting process and lack of seams means the garment will keep its shape through wear and washing. It combines durability and the natural softness for comfort. Vintage looms are special machines that are able to knit a perfect tube, but they can only knit one set diameter (size) per loom, so a loom for each size is required. This is why one hardly ever sees perfect tube construction in modern day garments.

Types of garment closure : Full Zip-up. Front zip closure with zip tape made of all-cotton HBT fabric, the front closes with a zipper from UNIVERSAL. This hoodie features a zipper tab on the right side, just as the vintage originals did.

Hood : Sewn-in hood. A hood is made from two layers of fabric for durability. The hood have embroidered eyelets(eyelet holes) but drawstring is not included, allowing for maximum movement. This isn't an error - this is how a hoodie should be.

Storage : Two exterior D-style hnadwarmer pockets on the lower front section of the hoodie.

Other details : The two-ply knit ribbed sleeve ends and waistband are comfortable and flexible. Vintage style slightly longer cuff and waistband to provide fit in the right places.
