The pattern construction of this leather jacket is a reproduction of the A-2 Flight Jacket ( U.S. Army Air Force USAAF The Type A-2 Bomber Jacket, Flying Jacket) from Rough Wear Clothing during World War II. This jacket combines all those historical characteristics and details with a modernize fit for a more casual look and fashion purpose. The fabric of this jacket is made up of 2 layers. This jacket is constructed from a vegetable and chrome combination tanned, pigmented genuine pure thick horsehide leather outer shell in seal brown with lightweight broadcloth lining. And this A-2 jacket features a center-set frontal zip closure with storm flap, pointed collar with collar band, wool rib knit cuffs/waistband in brown color, two flap pockets and shoulder straps. This product is made for Japanese market and made for Japanese clothing sizes. And this A-2 jacket is cut to a stylish slim fit (Not too tight or Not loose) with short in the body length for a more fashion-forward looks. Outer shell : Made of 100% pure thick horsehide leather in seal brown. Vegetable and chrome combination tanned, pigmented genuine horse hide shell for a firm-yet-supple hand. Rugged-grain and old-fashioned appearance on the face of the fabric for the fashionable vintage feel and look. This heavyweight real leather combines the durability and the natural softness for comfort to wear. The horsehide is even tough, yet it remains pliable. Since horsehide originally does not have a smooth surface, it has many wrinkles. This jacket has the wrinkles that are unique to horsehide, giving it a different appeal from smooth leathers. This is normal in a horsehide jacket. and it isn't a defect. For a vintage look, the leather of this jacket is made with the original taste of horsehide.

Lining shell : Made of 100% cotton thin, lightweigt, density and tightness weave broadcloth fabric. This lining is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily.

Type of insulation : Unfilled, Unpadded, Non-padded. No inside padding. No fill.

Placket type : Front zipper closure from War Time TALON with storm flap located in front of zipper closure. The zipper is covered with a storm flap. Storm flap prevents the wind from slipping through the front. A leather pull tab on zipper for easy functioning with gloves.

Pocket : Two flap pockets with hidden snap buttons on the lower front section of the jacket.

Collar : Shirt-style turn-down point collar with collar band and metal collar clip. Ball-and-socket-style hidden press studs located on the backside of collar ends.

Cuff type : The two-ply knit rib cuffs in brown color with the narrow weave graduating into the wider weave at Pattern Type : Plain, solid color, basic, simple, blank.

Sleeve Style : Set-in sleeves.

Other details : The two-ply worsted-wool knit ribbed sleeve ends and waistband in brown color are comfortable and flexible. Single-piece back as found on all vintage A-2 Jackets. Shoulder straps (epaulets) typifying the shape and stitch style found on original A-2. The underarms have eyelets to let moisture and humidity out. A woven tag label and USAAF stamp applied to lining. *This item has been specially treated to produce a vintage-like effect.
