This lightweight cotton jacket, featuring a lining but no padding, is crafted in Japan by Buzz Rickson, a division of Toyo Enterprises. It is made from a tiger stripe camouflage pattern cotton twill fabric, and its design of jacket is modeled after the L-2B flight jacket. Introduced by the U.S. Air Force in the 1950s, the L-2B flight jacket is a lightweight, unpadded jacket, also known as a flying or bomber jacket. Originally, there was no official Tiger Stripe camouflage version of the L-2B jacket issued by the U.S. military. However, during the Vietnam War, U.S. soldiers stationed in Vietnam had the jackets custom-made by local tailors in the L-2B design with tiger camo patterns. This custom approach made it popular as a civilian model among the soldiers. This product is a reproduction of a Tiger Camo version civilian model of the L-2B that reflects such a historical background during the Vietnam War. Design-wise, the L-2 series is very similar to the MA-1 series. But L-2 have NO fill, making them more lightweight and breathable than the classic MA-1 with fill. This civilian model of the L-2B jacket features a non-padded, dual-layered construction. The outer shell is crafted from 100% cotton twill fabric, showcasing a tiger stripe camouflage pattern, while the interior is lined with a lightweight cotton poplin cloth. This jacket design includes a front zipper closure, two external pockets with snap flaps, and a knit ribbed collar, cuffs, and waistband for added style and comfort. This unpadded lightweight outerwear piece can be worn year-round, especially in spring and fall. This jacket is new, original creations by Buzz Rickson from Toyo Enterprises, blending classic style with modern fit.

Outer shell : Made from a 100% cotton tiger stripe camouflage pattern twill fabric. Cotton twill cloth is a type of woven fabric characterized by its diagonal rib pattern. Non-stretch, high density, tightly woven, durable twill fabric. This jacket deliver the perfect combination of durability and natural softness for comfort.

Lining : Lightweight cotton poplin inner lining made of 100% cotton, which provides a bit of warmth without the bulkiness of heavier jackets. Cotton poplin is a type of fabric made from cotton that features a very tight, plain weave. This weave gives the fabric a smooth, flat finish with a slight horizontal ribbing. This lining is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily.

Interlining (Type of insulation ) : Unfilled/Unpadded/Non-padded. This lightweight outerwear piece has no inside padding and can be worn year-round, especially in spring and fall seasons. Lightly jacket stay a bit of warmth but do not like bulky puffer jackets. Great for wearing mid-season or even in the winter with under layering.

Types of garment closure (Placket type) : Front zipper closure. Front fastener from Conmatic zipper with zip tape made of all-cotton HBT fabric. The zipper include a horsehide leather pull tab for ease of use.

Collar, Cuffs, and Waistband : The jacket features 100% wool knit rib collars, cuffs, and waistband. These elasticated parts help to insulate the wearer against the wind, fitting snugly to the body to prevent heat loss.

Cuff type : The two-ply knit rib cuffs with the narrow weave graduating into the wider weave at top.

Pocket : Two exterior flap pockets with snap button closure on the lower front section of the jacket. Two pen/pencil slots on left sleeve.
