The metal components were ground by hand; in the umbrella sewing lampshades were sewn; The brass polished, nickel-plated and galvanized. The company operated its own turning shop, boring mill and milling shop. The lighting factory was discontinued in 1971 after being sold to Hoffmeister and Sohn.
